PICCA Block Party Brings Community Together, Distributes 300 Backpacks to Local Youth
By Matt Rickerd

Circleville, OH — The Pickaway County Community Action Organization (PICCA) held its annual Block Party on July 17, 2025, drawing an estimated crowd of 600 community members for a day filled with fun, connection, and support. One of the event’s biggest highlights was the distribution of 300 backpacks filled with school supplies, helping local families prepare for the upcoming school year.
The event, hosted at PICCA's main campus, featured free food, games, resources from community partners, and family-friendly activities. “We are thrilled with the turnout and grateful for the overwhelming community support,” said Fallon Kingery, Community Services Director. “Events like this remind us of the power of coming together to support one another.”
Families who were unable to attend the event still have the opportunity to receive backpacks. Additional backpacks with supplies are available at the PICCA main office, located at 469 E. Ohio Street, Circleville, during regular business hours while supplies last.
