  • Pickaway County Community Action (PICCA) PICCAcademy is a federally funded program designed to help income-eligible adults achieve their career goals.

PICCAcademy does this in three unique ways: work supports for your new job (i.e. steel toe boots, safety equipment, uniforms, etc.), assistance with vocational training/education fees (enrollment, tuition, testing fees) and on the job training with a local employer where the client can earn up to $12/hour for 20 hours a week.

For more info on employment and training services, please contact Nick Pruitt at 740-477-1655 Ext. 1011 or online at npruitt@picca.info

  • The Fresh Produce Market program helps to supplement folks that would otherwise be unable to afford fresh produce at the market. Mid-Ohio Foodbank makes deliveries to PICCA on the second and fourth Thursday of each month. Produce is then divided among the food pantries throughout the county. These pantries in turn distribute the produce to their clients.

Funding for this program comes from various agencies including PICCA, United Way, and Mid-Ohio Food Bank. An annual Circleville Turkey Trot raises additional funds with a 5K walk/run race in November.

This institution is an equal opportunity provider

  • As a Representative Payee, PICCA is responsible for receiving the beneficiary's monthly check, keeping track of what is spent on the beneficiary's behalf and deciding how benefits can best be used for his or her personal care and well-being.
