Walnut Elementary Kiwanis Kids Club Bake Sale Raises Funds for Veterans' Shelter

In a heartwarming display of community spirit and generosity, the Kiwanis Kids Club of Walnut Elementary School recently organized a bake sale to support PICCA’s Ohio House Veteran’s Shelter. Led by their dedicated teacher, Daniel Mabe, the students poured their energy into baking treats and rallying support for this noble cause.

The culmination of their efforts was a presentation where Teacher Mabe and his students handed over the proceeds from the event to Michelle Triplett of PICCA. With smiles on their faces and a sense of accomplishment in their hearts, they delivered a powerful message along with the donation:

“On behalf of the Walnut Elementary Kiwanis Kids Club, we present you a monetary donation of $302.95 to PICCA. It is our objective to learn, engage, serve, and lead to benefit our school, community, and world.”

This simple yet impactful act exemplifies the values of service and compassion instilled in these young minds. Through their bake sale, they not only raised funds but also awareness about the needs in their community.

To the students of Walnut Elementary, we extend our heartfelt gratitude for your hard work and dedication to this fundraising effort. Your commitment to making a difference is truly inspiring, and your contribution will undoubtedly make a meaningful impact on the lives of those served by PICCA’s Ohio House Veteran’s Shelter.

“In a world often overshadowed by negativity, it is moments like these that remind us of the power of kindness and the potential for positive change when individuals come together with a shared purpose” Says Fallon Kingery, Community Services Director for PICCA. “Thank you, Walnut Elementary Kiwanis Kids Club, for your shining example of compassion and generosity. May your actions inspire others to follow in your footsteps and continue spreading love and kindness wherever they go.”
